MaryAnne Hunt
MaryAnne Hunt grew up in North Berwick in an artistic family. She studied ceramics at Glasgow School of Art and then went on to work as a bespoke wallpaper designer for a company in London for a number of years.
She returned to Edinburgh to raise and care for her daughter who suffered from a terminal illness. This experience profoundly affected her life and, subsequently, her art work, which is naturally influenced by her loss and haunting memories.
MaryAnne went on to study printmaking and figurative painting at Leith School of Art for which she was awarded the Figure Painting Prize in 2020. She works from her studio at home in Edinburgh.
