Born in Musselburgh near Edinburgh in 1947, Colin Hay studied Graphic Design at Edinburgh College of Art before going into a career in advertising. His highly sensitive and detailed artwork appeared as cover designs for some of the greatest names in sci-fi, such as Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clark. Colin has a great understanding of art history, and his influences include Egon Schiele, Picasso, Daubigny, and more.
