Jo Perkins

A love of colour, nature, and surface drive Jo’s practice. She is fascinated with colour and how it makes us feel, often exploring saturated palettes that reflect her emotions with regard to a subject. Using patterns, shape, and texture, she works to establish a visual language that describes her experiences.

 

Compositions are created from life then translated to the surface in an expressive and intuitive way. She uses acrylic for its immediacy and versatility and mixes this with other media to enhance each piece.
