Elina Bilous

Elina Bilous is a Ukrainian artist with paintings that give an impression of the fluidity of life, a small flash of delayed time when the heart stops and the world freezes. She was born in the Stryj Lviv region, and she received a bachelor’s degree in Applied and Decorative Arts followed by a master’s degree in Art Glass, in addition to conducting PhD research on the World Studio Glass movement. A scholar as well as a talented artist, Bilous’ recent works express a world at rest, portraying scenes of stillness and solitude–landscapes full of awe at the magnitude and vastness of nature.
